Garden of Life (Uchchien Jeevit) Life is committed to training & equipping Cambodian counsellors.  We are now offering internship opportunities for a limited number of beginning counsellors & social workers. This opportunity is open to eligible Cambodian graduates and students in the field of Psychology & Counseling wanting to develop their competencies in professional counseling and related skills. Areas of involvement include counselling, mental health education and administrative tasks. Previous Trainings

Counseling Skills & Frameworks (Advanced Course)
October 19, 20 & 21, 2022  (8:30 am – 11:30 am) and November 1, 2 & 3, 2022  (1:30 pm – 4:30 pm)

The training will be conducted by Julie Weeks from Australia & Garden of Life Training Associates. Discussions and Skills practices using case studies will be in Khmer Language only. This course is specifically designed to raise the knowledge and skills of participants who have done basic counselling courses and are already involved in counselling/ therapeutic work.

Living Wholeness Training
Mar. 23, 25, 26 (9:00-17:00)

‘Living Wholeness’ is a unique counseling framework integrating Psychology and Theology facilitating to work with believers and non believers alike. The personal transformation of the helper is seen as central to the helping process.

Narrative Therapy
Apr. 4-6 (8:30-16:00)

“Narrative therapy in a nutshell is about listening to the client’s problem loaded story of despair and helping them to find their redemptive story of hope”.

Basic Coaching Skills Training (in Khmer language)
July 17-19, 2019

The training will be conducted by Susan Smith, accredited CRM trainer, using the internationally popular C.O.A.C.H. model (translated and well used in Khmer Language). Certificates will be awarded. Acceptance will be on first come first served basis. 

Caring for Your Mental Health - A Christian Perspective

Principles, Practices and Process of Counseling Supervision
October 23-25, 2019

This workshop is developed for practising counselors who want to understand what professional supervision is, beginning counselors, support workers and student counselors.

Peer Supervision Groups (PSG)
October 31 & November 7, 2019

Participants must have some knowledge and experience of counseling supervision either as a supervisor or as a supervisee preparing to move on to the role of supervisor.

Self Care
October 15-16, 2019

This practical workshop for counselors, social workers, and people in community work will include guiding participants to design their individual self care plan.
